About applications involving repeated rapid charging and discharging

Aluminum electrolytic capacitors designed for general use cannot be used on circuits engaged in charging and discharging involving significant differences in voltage or circuits with a rapid cycle of repeated fast charging and discharging.

Certain charging/discharging conditions may result in capacitance degradation or may trigger pressure valve operation or damage due to internal heating or gas generation.

For, circuits requiring severe charging and discharging, you must select a capacitor with the charging and discharging specifications suitable for the intended use. Conditions to be considered include charge/discharge current, charge/discharge cycle, number of charges/discharges, discharge resistance, and operating temperature.
