Supercapacitors Electrolyte
The electrolyte in supercapacitors is a conductive liquid which affects properties such as internal resistance and withstand voltage.
Electrolyte for capacitors comes in aqueous solution and organic solvent types. CHEMI-CON uses an organic solvent type electrolyte which allows the capacitor to achieve a high withstand voltage. The solvents used for the organic solvent type electrolyte include acetonitrile and propylene carbonate. CHEMI-CON uses comparatively safer electrolytes (such as propylene carbonate).
