About ESL (equivalent series inductance) of aluminum electrolytic capacitors
ESL, also referred to as equivalent series inductance, is the value when capacitor reactance is equivalently replaced with series inductance.
The measurement method for capacitor ESL is standardized by industrial organizations, and the value at a frequency of 40MHz is set as the ESL.
This is because it is estimate that, in this frequency domain, it is easier to achieve the linearity and stability of measured values.
