Voltage bias characteristics of Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors
Aluminum electrolytic capacitors do not experience changes in capacitance due to voltage bias.
Unlike ferroelectrics such as the BaTiO3 (barium titanate) used as the dielectric in high dielectric constant multilayer ceramic capacitor, we use Al2O3 (aluminum oxide) as the dielectric in aluminum electrolytic capacitors.

Ferroelectric materials such as the barium titanate used in typical multilayer ceramic capacitors have piezoelectric properties, meaning that voltage vias characteristics will change depending on the applied voltage.
