About change in base material for screw terminal type aluminum electrolytic capacitors (serial number digit 18: M > U)
We use a resin plate as the base of screw terminal type aluminum electrolytic capacitors to provide insulation.
There are two types of resin plates. The material type can be identified by checking the 18th digit of the serial number.

Background
We are standardizing the use of PPE as part of our environmental initiatives and to increase production efficiency.For new orders, please specify "U" for the 18th digit in the serial number.
Capacitor specifications
This is an external material and so there are no changes to product electrical properties.
Dielectric performance also fulfills the specifications indicated in the catalog.
The PPE resin plate color is limited to black only.
| Dielectric resistance | Cover the terminal bundle and the case with an insulating sleeve. Then use a DC500V insulation resistance tester to measure the space between the that and the attachment band positioned above. This measurement should be 100MΩ or higher. |
