S-parameters of aluminum electrolytic capacitors
The S-parameters (scattering parameters) of aluminum electrolytic capacitors refer to circuit network parameters used to indicate the transmission/reflection power characteristics of high-frequency circuits and electronic components.
Formulate 1 indicates the determinant of the S-parameters for the 2-port circuit shown in Figure 1. Here, a represents the incident wave when measuring with a network analyzer and b represents the wave output from the circuit.
【Fig. 1】Measured circuit pattern diagram (2-port circuit)
Formula 1: S-parameter determinant
Capacitor noise removal characteristics are represented as insertion loss, and can be substituted with the S-parameter S21 gain properties measured using the network analyzer.
