NCM-20-W Series Developed - Camera Module for Devices for Immediate Detection after Vehicle Reversing Motion

Nippon Chemi-Con is pleased to announce that we have developed a camera module for use in devices that help prevent accidents that occur when a vehicle is operated in reverse.
Over the years, we have accumulated various technology related to maximizing the optical performance of image sensors. As part of our desire to share the benefits of our work with society, we have been engaged in the development of products for use in devices for immediate detection after vehicle reversing motion, which are increasingly becoming mandatory. By applying our cumulative experience, we anticipate being able to develop a product suited for this application, which is expected to require compatibility with harsh operating environments. Based on our current progress, we expect to receive increased consideration for this product.
Production will be conducted at the Nagaoka Plant of Chemi-Con Device Corp. (our 100% subsidiary), located in Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture.

On June 29, 2021, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism announced that it will partially revise a draft Ministerial Ordinance for partially revising safety standards for road transport vehicles and partially revise a Notice outlining details of safety standards for road transportation vehicles.
NCM-20-W seriesNCM-20-W is based on the concept of being embedded in devices for immediate detection after vehicle reversing motion (e.g., rear view monitors) and offers high resolution (2-3x resolution compared to previous products) and a wide angle view. We also applied our proprietary knowhow for maximizing the optical performance of image sensors to provide drivers with clear images while operating a vehicle in reverse. This makes confirmation of the surrounding area easy, contributing to reduced stress and work hours for drivers.
We will be exhibiting at CEATEC 2023, which is taking place at Makuhari Messe from October 17, 2023. By providing clear images, we will support the development of rear view monitor systems.

Consult with us regarding use in devices complying with the new United Nations Regulation (UNR158), which stipulates the requirements in the United Nations WP.29 (World Forum for Harmonization of Vehicle Regulations).
