Please use “Chemi-Con” for the name of the supplier/manufacturer in reference designs and bills of materials (BOM).

In English “NIPPON” means “Japan” and “CHEMI-CON” is short for “chemical condenser” which means in English “electrolytic capacitor”. Thus, the development of our corporate name: “NIPPON CHEMI-CON.

The NIPPON CHEMI-CON Group has sales subsidiaries all over the world. Each of our Global locations is named differently depending on the region. For example, “UNITED CHEMI-CON” is our subsidiary located in the United States. “SHANGHAI CHEMI-CON” is our subsidiary located in China and “TAIWAN CHEMI-CON” is our subsidiary located in Taiwan.

These sales subsidiaries supply Nippon Chemi-Con branded products to customers in their regions. Some of them, as a technical service, also support customers in creating reference designs. In some cases, our end customers mistake “NIPPON CHEMI-CON” or “TAIWAN CHEMI-CON” as a different supplier/manufacturer than “UNITED CHEMI-CON.”

To prevent causing confusion with naming issue, we ask that you please use the name  “Chemi-Con” without “NIPPON,” “UNITED,” etc. when supplier/manufacturer names are needed along with our product part numbers.
