Supercapacitors Power Density (Output Density)

The power density (output density) of supercapacitors is the maximum electrical power that can be obtained from charged supercapacitors per unit of mass. It is measured in W/kg or W/L. It is normally calculated from the internal resistance and the rated voltage. The higher the power density, the larger the instantaneous current that can be efficiently obtained.

Pdm: Maximum output density [W/kg or W/L]
UR: Rated voltage [V]
R: Actual measured internal resistance [Ω]
M: Capacitor mass or volume [kg or L]
